Archdiocese of Washington Catholic grade schools offer an Active Catholic Parishioner Tuition Grant. The grant is available to families that are registered and participating members of a Catholic parish. Independent Catholic schools may offer similar scholarships.
To help the school administration determine whether a family is qualified to receive the grant or scholarship, a school may have a form for completion by the family that also seeks the recommendation of the pastor. A school may also contact the parish directly to verify the information provided by the family.

The following information may be reviewed when evaluating certification requests:
- Family practices the Catholic faith. Participating weekly at Sunday Mass and the Eucharist is the center of our life as Catholics.
- Family serves the Parish by active involvement in its activities. Catholics give witness to their faith by taking part in the Church's ministry and mission.
- Family consistently contributes to the Parish as they are financially able throughout the calendar year with a sustained offertory through Faith Direct or weekly offertory envelopes. Schools offer the grants and scholarships with the expectation that the family financially supports the Church through the Parish, first and foremost.
Additional information may be reviewed depending on the requirements of the verification request.

Holy Angels Parish responds to these requests according to parish records and to the best of personal knowledge. Therefore, the Parish upholds its responsibility to attest whether the information provided by the family is accurate. The final decision for awarding the grant or scholarship is made by the school administration.
