Our parish has roots in the 1st Catholic Mass celebrated in the English-speaking colonies on March 25, 1634 on St. Clement's Island, just down the road from the parish church. While many of our parishioners can trace their roots back to those original families from England, our parish has also been enriched through the years by visitors who liked the area so much they stayed!
The primary way to become connected to God and our parish community is by joining us for the Sunday Mass.
As Catholics, we believe that we most fully encounter Jesus Christ through the community of faith, the Church. In addition to regular Sunday Mass, you can become more connected to our community through various parish social events and ministries, such as our parish dinners, bible study, youth group, parish bonfire, etc.
As Catholics, we also believe that we have received a mandate from Jesus Christ: I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. You are also invited to join us in ministering to the poor and less fortunate in our community through our WARM program where we shelter the homeless in our area for a whole week in late January. See the side tab for more information.
